On March 30, 2019, the Eisenhower Institute at Gettysburg College and the Dwight D. Eisenhower Society will host a one-day symposium to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Invasion of Normandy.
The event will feature remarks and lectures from distinguished experts on General Dwight D. Eisenhower and the Second World War. Speakers include Susan Eisenhower, Dr. George Colburn, Dr. Craig Symonds, and Dr. John C. McManus. After the final panel, attendees will be able to take part in an optional visit to the Eisenhower Farm in Gettysburg. Please see the schedule for more details.
Advance registration is required to attend the symposium. Registration is $25.00 for members of the public and free for all current Gettysburg College students, staff, and faculty. A continental breakfast and buffet lunch are included with registration. The optional visit to the Eisenhower Farm will be available for an additional $7.00. The deadline for registration is Friday, March 15.
The lectures and panel discussion will be held in Room 260 of the College Union Building at Gettysburg College. Directions and parking information will be available closer to the date.
