Luca Menicali '19 is a double major in Mathematics and Mathematical Economics from Fermo, Italy.
On campus he works as a Resident Assistant, a Peer Learning Associate for the Mathematics and Economics departments, and an intramural sports official. He is also the scholarship chair of the Sigma Chi fraternity.
During summer 2017 Luca was a Kolbe Research Fellow on campus; for his project he studied the economic and social consequences of refugee immigration in Italy. Throughout his junior year he was a participant of the Institute’s Strategy & Leadership in Transformational Times (SALTT) program.
In summer 2018, he was a Credit and Global Market Risk intern at State Street Corporation.
After graduation Luca hopes to obtain a PhD in Economics and to pursue a career as an analyst in the financial services industry.
